With a diverse team of inspectors, one of the areas of Marine survey that Aalto Marine Services specialises in is refridgerated perishable cargoes. 

We attended for one of our many clients at the Fruit and Vegetable market in Aweer to represent their interests in a matter concerning a failure in the cold chain which resulted in the shipment of apples to start ripening.

What does perishable mean? 
ˈpe-ri- : liable to perish : liable to spoil or decay. such perishable products as fruit, vegetables, butter, and eggs.
The possibility that the cargo has a possibility to deteriorate presents a risk to any cargo owner, whether he is the shipper, carrier, intermediary, or receiver.
It is in all parties best interests that the cargo is carried in an optimum manner maintaining the cargo characteristics so that it is presented at the point of sale in its best condition for the best possible value. When this is not the case, it is best to appoint a reliable expert to ensure that their interests are protected and to ensure a positive outcome from any situation.
